Take my advice

If you have one of these (a seemingly harmless ten year old male)...

Or one of these (mild-mannered but overgrown 12 year old male)...

Then you are familiar with these (look closely at the middle of his scalp).

And because, inevitably, they will want to make one of these...

Do this,

this,

this....

this, or...

that...
all without you knowing, while taking these pictures...

You will need to get yourself one of these (a 14 year old female source of information)

Oh, no! I've got one of those coming up! Thankfully, I've got two of the last. *grin* Only I think the smaller of them might get in more trouble than "the generic boy".

"Thank goodness for God's care for them!" is all I can say.

Karen,
the older one comes up with all the "great" ideas and the younger one pulls them off.

And yes, thank God for His grace.

A perfect post today! You made me laugh and cry, and thank God that my family survived those years!

Love you, Momdy

Fantastic.

This... is why I love having two girls. I can handle the drama.

(Although Chloe is a bit more "daredevil" than her big sister).

The second child always is. Wait until #3.

Yikes! And I have boy #3 coming in a week or so. Fun stuff ahead possibly? Your boys are super handsome though.... :)

melissa,
Thanks for the kind words about my boys. Only God is responsible for that :)

Prayers for you with the new adventurer on his way.

those are hilarious! even though i grew up with three brothers, i was the one who had most of the scrapes and crazy falls--fell off a ski chair lift, landed on my shoulder after jumping the tennis court net, body-surfed down a street after bailing off a careening skateboard...in my dress...while my brothers watched...in horror. so, i guess in my family, they were lucky to have only one girl.

you wild woman! I was like you. I just looked at my knees in the mirror for the first time in a long time and realized that I have more scars than most boys.
